Mark L. Blevins
Mark L. Blevins has been counseling individuals, families, business owners and real estate developers for over 30 years and has focused primarily in the areas of real estate, business, family law, wills and estates. Mark is adept at listening to his clients, assessing the situation, and determining the appropriate course of action to guide them through every step of the process so they achieve their goals as efficiently as possible.
A significant portion of Mark’s practice is in the family law area. Mark’s clients appreciate his sensitive, personal approach in guiding them through the legal process during what are often emotional times. Mark is an experienced and skilled negotiator, and will strive to achieve a resolution outside of court, whenever appropriate.
Mark has worked extensively with local lending institutions and real estate professionals in handling residential and commercial purchases and sales, mortgage financing, and related matters.
Directly relating to real estate transactions, Mark has been a licensed title insurance agent since 2004 and is the owner of North Star Settlements LLC, a local title insurance agency handling real estate settlements and issuing title insurance on purchases, both residential and commercial, and purchase money mortgages and refinances.
Mark has nearly 20 years previous experience as general counsel for three commercial real estate developers emphasizing shopping center and office building development, property management and finance including the sale of 40 shopping centers as part of the creation of a real estate investment trust involving a $180 million initial public offering. His commercial real estate experience also includes landlord/developer representation for the development and leasing of various local shopping centers, including Rockvale Square, Kendig Square, Factory Stores at Hershey and Field Club Commons above Pittsburgh, PA.
